I was talking to my sister earlier and she was telling me that she had found a DVD copy of "A Muppet Family Christmas". It was one of our favorite Christmas specials when we were growing up. Not only did you get to see the Muppet Show characters, but it also featured those from Sesame Street and The Fraggles. This particular show always made us laugh. This sent me to search for my favorite Christmas program. After a little digging, I found a dubbed copy. And I was wondering how many of you might remember this.

The Life & Adventures of Santa Claus.
A Rankin-Bass Animagic production based on the 1902 book by L. Frank Baum (The Wizard of Oz). The darker nature of this show appealed to me more than any of the other Christmas specials. The Immortals, Nymphs, Nooks...they all intrigued me. This clip shows the battle between the Immortals and the Awgwas. If you wish to see the "whole" program, the other four parts can be found on youtube. I was glad to see that others enjoyed it as much as I did, but disappointed to see that so many parts had been cut out when abc aired it as part of their "25 Days of Christmas" lineup.
